# How much does it cost to fix a vibe coded app?

Updated October 2026 · By [Nathaniel Kelley](https://whocanfixmyapp.com/authors/nathaniel-kelley)

Quick answer

A check or audit costs $49–$800, a single fix €99–$990, and a cleanup that makes the app safe to launch $1,500–$15,000. Marketplace gigs start at $20, but that buys a look at one bug, not a working app.

- **Applies to**: Any AI builder
- **Checks to run**: [DATA-01](https://whocanfixmyapp.com/checklist#DATA-01), [PAY-01](https://whocanfixmyapp.com/checklist#PAY-01), [CODE-01](https://whocanfixmyapp.com/checklist#CODE-01), [OPS-01](https://whocanfixmyapp.com/checklist#OPS-01)

Prices for this work settled into bands during 2025 and 2026. Here they are, with how long each takes:

- **Check or audit, $49–$800, one day to one week.** Someone reads the code and database and gives you a written list of what is wrong and how serious each item is. Nothing is fixed yet.
- **Single fix, €99–$990, about two days per fix.** One named problem, such as password reset not sending or a page that is blank on the live site.
- **Cleanup, $1,500–$15,000, one to eight weeks.** Access rules on every table, secrets moved to the server, payments verified by webhook, backups, monitoring and a test for the flows that make money.
- **Move off the builder, $300–$25,000.** From a simple GitHub export and redeploy to a full move of data, files and sign-in to your own accounts.
- **Rebuild, from €12,000, four to sixteen weeks.** Keep the behavior, replace the code.
- **Ongoing care, $100–$5,000 a month.** Someone to call when it breaks.

What moves a job up or down the band: how many tables hold personal data, whether the app takes money, whether the code is already in a Git repository you own, and whether the backend is Lovable Cloud, which has no automatic export. An app with three tables and no payments sits at the bottom. A marketplace with Stripe and file uploads sits near the top.

Compare that with what you are spending now. Lovable charges by credit. Plan mode costs one credit per message, and its docs give 1.20 credits as the example cost of adding authentication. Lovable values a credit at $0.25 on Pro and $0.50 on Business when converting old balances. Credits are non-refundable, including the ones spent on a fix that did not work. One Replit user put it this way after months of building: the last 10% is significantly more expensive than early building. If you have spent more than the price of a single fix on prompts for the same bug, the human is already cheaper.

What the $20 gig buys. The cheapest Fiverr listings promise to fix small issues and debug problems in two days. That can be a fair deal for one visible bug. It is not a security review, and it is not a promise that one user cannot read another user's data. Ask for written findings, and never hand over a secret key to get a quote.

When a fix costs more than a rebuild. If the audit lists more than a handful of critical items across data, payments and sign-in, and the app has few users, a rebuild from the working screens can be cheaper than patching. [Fix or rebuild](https://whocanfixmyapp.com/fix-or-rebuild) walks through that decision.

Get help with a quote when you cannot describe the bug in one sentence, when the app holds personal data, or when the developer you ask wants to rebuild without reading the code first. ## Check these

DATA-01 · Critical

Access rules are on for every table

In Supabase, open Table Editor: every table should show RLS enabled, with at least one policy. In Firebase, your rules should never say `allow read, write: if true`.

PAY-01 · Critical

Paid accounts are unlocked by a verified payment webhook

Access should change only when your server receives a signed webhook from Stripe or your provider, not when the browser reaches a success page.

CODE-01 · High

The code lives in a Git repository you own

Connect GitHub or export the project. If the builder account is lost, the product should not be.

OPS-01 · Critical

Database backups run automatically and a restore has been tested

Check what your database plan actually includes, then restore a backup into a test project once.

## Related questions

### Why does a two-day fix cost up to $990 when the app took a weekend to build?

The AI built it without reading anything. The developer has to read all of it before changing one line, then test that the change did not break something else. Most of the two days is reading and testing, not typing.

### Can I get a fixed price before anyone looks at the code?

You can get a band, not a number. A serious developer will ask for read access to the code and database first, sometimes for a small paid review, and quote after that. A fixed price quoted blind is a guess you will pay for later.
