# Who can fix my vibe coded app?

Updated October 2026 · By [Nathaniel Kelley](https://whocanfixmyapp.com/authors/nathaniel-kelley)

Quick answer

Any experienced full-stack developer who knows your stack, usually React with Supabase, can fix a vibe coded app. Your four realistic options are the builder's own AI, a certified expert from the builder's directory, a marketplace freelancer, or a product engineering team, and the right one depends on how broken it is.

- **Applies to**: Any AI builder
- **Checks to run**: [CODE-01](https://whocanfixmyapp.com/checklist#CODE-01), [DATA-01](https://whocanfixmyapp.com/checklist#DATA-01), [PAY-01](https://whocanfixmyapp.com/checklist#PAY-01), [OPS-01](https://whocanfixmyapp.com/checklist#OPS-01)

The good news is that a vibe coded app is ordinary code. Lovable, Bolt and v0 produce React or Next.js with a Supabase or similar backend. Replit and Base44 run on their own hosting but still use standard languages. Nobody needs a special license to fix it. What they need is time to read it, because the AI that wrote it left no notes.

Who to ask, from cheapest to most involved:

1. **The builder's AI.** Lovable gives you 10 free Try to fix runs, each returning 24 hours after use. After that, fixes use credits. Fine for one error in one screen. Poor when the same bug has survived three attempts.
2. **The builder's expert directory.** Lovable launched a Partner Directory in September 2026. Experts are certified on projects they have shipped, and they earn a 10% commission on Business plan subscriptions they bring to Lovable. Good for Lovable-specific work. Ask how they are paid.
3. **Marketplace freelancers.** Fiverr gigs titled along the lines of fix your broken Lovable, Base44, Bolt or Replit app start at $20 with two-day delivery. Upwork has the same work at fixed prices. Good for a single clear bug. Risky for anything touching data access or payments, where a quick fix that looks right can still leak.
4. **A product engineering team.** An agency or small company that takes over the code, the database and the hosting, fixes the list, and stays on for the next month. The right choice when the app has paying users or personal data.

Whoever you pick, give them the right things. They need read access to the code in a Git repository you own, an invite to your Supabase or builder project, and a written list of what breaks and when. They do not need your passwords or your secret key over chat.

Money and time. A check or audit, where someone reads the app and tells you what is wrong, costs $49–$800 and takes a day to a week. A single fix is €99–$990 and about two days. A cleanup that makes the app safe to launch is $1,500–$15,000 over one to eight weeks. Ongoing care runs $100–$5,000 a month. Get help, rather than another prompt, when a fix breaks something unrelated, when the problem is in sign-in, payments or who can see what, or when you cannot say which version of the app is live. [Freelancer or agency](https://whocanfixmyapp.com/questions/freelancer-or-agency-to-fix-my-app) helps you choose between the last two options.

## Check these

CODE-01 · High

The code lives in a Git repository you own

Connect GitHub or export the project. If the builder account is lost, the product should not be.

DATA-01 · Critical

Access rules are on for every table

In Supabase, open Table Editor: every table should show RLS enabled, with at least one policy. In Firebase, your rules should never say `allow read, write: if true`.

PAY-01 · Critical

Paid accounts are unlocked by a verified payment webhook

Access should change only when your server receives a signed webhook from Stripe or your provider, not when the browser reaches a success page.

OPS-01 · Critical

Database backups run automatically and a restore has been tested

Check what your database plan actually includes, then restore a backup into a test project once.

## Related questions

### Do I need a developer who knows Lovable, or any developer?

Any good React and Supabase developer can fix a Lovable app, because the code is standard. Lovable experience helps with the editor, credits and the GitHub sync, so it saves a few hours. It is not required.

### Can I just give the developer my Lovable login?

Avoid it. Connect the project to GitHub and invite them to the repository. Invite them to your Supabase project as a member. If the app runs on Lovable Cloud, add them as a collaborator in Lovable rather than sharing the password.
